FG Call For Proposal: Inputs Into The Finance Bill 2027
The Federal Government invites members of the public, businesses, investors, professional bodies civil society organizations academia, public institutions and other stakeholders to submit proposal for the Finance Bill 2027.

Submrssions shouid propose practical. evidence-based legislative or regulatory reforms that strengthen Nigeria's fiscal framework improves the business and investment environment, enhance fiscal transparency and accountability, and support sustainable economic growth.
Areas for Submission
1. Taxation and Revenue Administration: Tax policy, revenue mobilisation. compliance, taxpayer services, tax Certainty incentives customs and excise and coordination among revenue agencies.
2. Fiscal Policy and Management: Revenue and expenditure management, budgeting, public financial Management. fiscal! Sustainability public debt and eer Bednar fiscal ribbons
3. Fiscal Responsibility, Transparency and Accountability: Budget discipline, financial reporting and disclosure, Monitoring accountability and instrumental oversight
4. Financial and Economic Regulation: Capital markets, investment and cross-border capital flows, ant-money laundering financial reporting. and other regulations with significant fiscal or economic selections
5. Other Related Matters: law, regulation, policy or institutional arrangement requiring amendment, harmonization or introduction to improve Nigena’s competitiveness and economic governance.
Priority Considerations
- Address gaps,ambiguities.inconsistencies or implementation challenges in existing laws and regulations;
- Reduce unnecessary regulatory and administrative burdens:
- improve the ease of doing business investment, productivity and economic efficiency.
- Harmornse conflicting or overlapping provisions and reduce leakages. abuse and regulatory arbitrage,
- Strengthen institution coordination. transparency and accountability, and
- improve revenue mobilisation and fiscal sustainability without unnecessary constraining economic activity
Contributors should, as far as possible, identify the relevant law and specific provision requiring amendment and provide proposed drafting language. General recommendations are aiso welcomed but may be less useful for legislative drafting.
